I'm a developer, designer and technologist (and author*)
Currently living in Portland, OR, I specialize in web development, data-driven applications, and custom online solutions. My expertise spans industries like conservation, sustainable development, and community support, with a focus on delivering innovative, user-centric solutions. I am currently a co-founder of 9 Pebble Consulting. I was a front-end developer and content engineer with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for nearly 17 years and focused on providing functional and technical support to projects advancing TNC's conservation initiatives. Prior, I led a small team of Django developers at Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). Earlier, I was a co-founder, principal and head of Technology for Polar Bear Media Inc, a start-up based in El Paso, TX and Arlington, VA.
Consulting
Since 2000, I have also worked as a freelance consultant primarily focused on custom WordPress development including ACF, plugins and themes. Clients included America's Community Bankers, National Association of Corporate Directors, the American Bankers Association (Stonier Graduate School of Banking), Pangolin Words, fTLD Registry Services, U.S. Military, AES Energy Corporation, Colt Collectors Association, Kurt Christian (artist) and the Cohousing Association of the United States.
I'm always interested in new opportunities so don't hesitate to get in touch.
Kyle is a very collaborative developer and always keeps in mind the user experience. I always enjoyed working with Kyle because of his willingness to explore solutions together, his creativity, and all around cheerfulness and wonderful teamwork.

*Author Too?
Yes, I am a published author - or at least I was part of a series of 3 peer-reviewed papers published in 2018 and 2019. A joint effort between The Nature Conservancy and Michigan State University, the team examined how the spread and uptake of new ideas is critical for organizations to adapt over time. To address this, the team analyzed how individuals accessed information about a recent science innovation at a large, international, biodiversity conservation non-profit–The Nature Conservancy–and then traced the flow of how this information was shared within the organization and externally.
