Project Highlights:
  • Redesigned and rebuilt the Cohousing Association’s national website into a modern, accessible WordPress platform supporting thousands of monthly visitors seeking community, events, and resources.
  • Developed a flexible, block-based theme that empowered staff to independently update pages, publish news, and manage resources without developer support.
  • Created dynamic content structures for directories, events, communities, and resources, making it easy for users to filter and find relevant information.
  • Implemented a clean, welcoming design that reflected the values of inclusion, connection, and sustainability.

Project Highlights:
  • Partnered with TNC to redesign Conservation by Design, the organization’s global framework for conservation planning.
  • Created a modern, responsive design that unified dozens of technical documents and stories into a clear, visually engaging narrative.
  • Developed a modular WordPress theme that allowed non-technical staff to update pages, add resources, and highlight case studies easily.
  • Integrated ArcGIS maps, YouTube video embeds, and interactive visuals to illustrate conservation impact.
  • Focused on usability and accessibility, ensuring the site performed well across mobile devices and met WCAG standards.

I got to know Kyle when I worked with him to create a website that supported conservation practitioners to use The Nature Conservancy's core conservation methodology, Conservation by Design. He became one of my favorite and most trusted colleagues, including in part because he stayed in touch with me after that project was over to make sure that the website continued to meet our needs and to update it when necessary. Kyle is personable, smart, good at what he does, and terrific at translating tech-speak into straightforward everyday English for a lay person like myself. We were a small team and we needed to be able to work effectively together and Kyle was the key to making that happen.

  • Partnered with fTLD Registry Services, LLC, the domain authority behind the .Bank and .Insurance top-level domains, to build a modern, secure, and professionally branded web presence.
  • Created a clean, content-rich WordPress site that communicates fTLD’s mission of digital trust, security, and verification in the financial sector.
  • Emphasized security and compliance through design and architecture: fTLD’s stringent verification process for domain registration is explained in accessible, user-friendly language.
  • Designed for stakeholder audiences: financial institutions, registrars, and potential domain registrants, balancing technical depth with clarity and trust.
  • Built with scalability in mind, enabling fTLD to grow its content around its .Bank and .Insurance services, governance, operations, and policy updates.
  • Included key resources: links to policy documents, verification process overviews, and public comment pages — all integrated into the CMS to be easily maintained.

When fTLD Registry was established in 2011, Kyle developed our first website and subsequently those for the .Bank and .Insurance Top-Level Domains. Kyle was terrific to work with and helped fTLD translate a relatively unknown/obscure topic (i.e., TLDS) into websites that were easy to understand and navigate. Some of the attributes I appreciated most about working with Kyle were his creativity, level-headedness, communication skills, and responsiveness. Kyle supported fTLD for nearly 12 years, in a freelance capacity, until we moved our business to a marketing and communications agency primarily to rebrand and relaunch our operations.

  • Led the front-end development and user experience redesign for SNAPP, a multi-institution research collaboration hosted by The Nature Conservancy.
  • Created a custom taxonomy and content architecture to organize hundreds of projects, publications, and working groups into an intuitive structure.
  • Designed a flexible homepage and resource library to highlight stories, events, and calls to action.
  • Integrated analytics tracking to measure engagement with projects and news updates.

For almost two years I worked with Kyle closely on updates and management of our organizational website (SNAPP). Kyle was a sincere pleasure to work with. He brings a high level of professionalism to his role, is responsive, and delivers excellent results on time. His attention to detail, pleasant demeanor, and proactivity were an asset to our program.
